Rabi Adamu Musa is a passionate advocate for gender equality, founder, and changemaker dedicated to empowering women and girls in Northern Nigeria. As the Founder and CEO of the Mcrissar Foundation, Rabi has led initiatives addressing critical issues such as menstrual hygiene, gender-based violence, and leadership development for young women and girls. Over the past three years, her efforts have positively impacted more than 5,000 girls through the establishment of a sanitary pad bank, creating awareness about menstrual hygiene, and advocating for policies to make menstrual products accessible to all women and girls in Nigeria. Her organization has also called on the Nigerian government to implement nationwide access to these essential products, organizing a high-profile press conference to amplify the issue.

Rabi's commitment to leadership and governance was evident early in her career when she contested for a parliamentary seat in her state. Though she did not win, her dedication to community service earned her an appointment as a Special Adviser on Legal Matters under the former state governor. During her tenure, she actively advocated for young women’s participation in politics and governance and worked closely with government agencies to support victims of gender-based violence and sexual assault.

A graduate of the University of Jos with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Law and a Barrister-at-Law certificate from the Nigerian Law School, Rabi has continued to expand her legal and development expertise. She is a recipient of the prestigious Katherine Flemming International Development Award from Canada, recognizing her exceptional contributions to community development and peacebuilding.

Through the Mcrissar Foundation, Rabi envisions a society where women have equal socio-economic, cultural, and political opportunities. By focusing on leadership development, healthcare, and the creation of safe spaces for victims of gender-based violence, the foundation is breaking barriers and fostering resilience among women and girls.

For her Mountaintop Fellowship, Rabi is spearheading an innovative solution in Kaduna State, Northern Nigeria, by establishing martial arts centers under the initiative Empowering Women and Girls Through Martial Arts. This groundbreaking project aims to address gender inequality, build self-confidence, and equip women and girls with essential life skills, leveraging martial arts as a transformative tool for empowerment.
