Jonas Kouamé N’Guessan is the Founder and President of Seed4Africa, a nonprofit based in Cote D’Ivoire which works with youth African volunteers to address development and policy issues.

In a country facing violence, ethnic division, and democratic instability, Seed4Africa’s work has included peacebuilding, civic engagement, youth education, poverty alleviation, and voting rights. From donating school supply kits to low-income children, to running business education programs for rural women, to hosting international leadership summits, to managing voter engagement programs in partnership with the United States embassy, Seed4Africa has mobilized a team of 2,000 volunteers and gained a nationwide following, receiving the first Human Rights Award from the Cote D’Ivoire National Council for Human Rights (CNDH) in 2019.

Jonas received a Diploma of License in Fundamental Private Law and a Master’s Degree in Economics and Business Law from Catholic University of West Africa in Abidjan.

For his fellowship, Jonas plans to launch a road management project to reduce vehicle-related deaths. The project involves establishing a real-time road traffic information platform designed to warn and inform users about road fluidity. Long term, Jonas aspires to grow Seed4Africa and strengthen human rights and economic development across Cote D’Ivoire.
